FILM REVIEW:: BLACK WIDOW

The pandemic really threw the release of Black Widow off. Especially here in Melbourne, in and out of lockdown, and add a baby to the mix for us; it didn’t make it easy for us to watch our beloved Marvel’s latest release in the cinema. Its delayed release also created a slight hiccup to the timeline which will only make sense if you’ve kept up with the Marvel Studios TV

FILM REVIEW:: ENDINGS, BEGINNINGS

So my Sebastian Stan phase, back almost 10 months ago, continued with this one. What a special little movie. If you’re looking for something to make you feel things; whatever it might be, this movie might just be the one to move you. I’m not talking a sweet movie where a well-loved character dies in the end sort of thing, I mean just an emotionally driven, sympathise-with-the-main-protagonist sort of thing.

FILM REVIEW:: SPIDERMAN: NO WAY HOME

– Sorry I just need a minute. Hol’ up. – Okay. Spiderman. No Way Home. Umm. So, where do I begin…? I couldn’t write a review for Infinity War because it blew me away. Far, far away. It was so brilliantly done; the writing, the delivery, the story, the choreography. Everything about it was too precious to touch. The feeling I had about that movie, being my favourite movie from

FILM REVIEW:: DON’T LOOK UP

This movie is perfect, and let me tell you why. It’s because this depicts what’s wrong with the people who roam this planet. The only “woke” people on Earth, are our scientists and the people who listen to them. However, Earth is actually infested with conspiracy theorists masked as bright individuals who truthfully, do not have a single fucking clue. I’m mad because despite this being a satire, this really

FILM REVIEW:: ETERNALS

Let’s begin with the positives… Eternals greatest achievement is the diversity. The inclusion of all sorts of life and kind is wonderful to watch. It’s next big achievement would be how visually appealing it is. From the armour, these heroes wear and how it is wrapped onto them, to the extra celestial being that appears, it’s all stunning to look at. And though full of humour, this film gives off

FILM REVIEW:: SHANG CHI AND THE LEGEND OF THE TEN RINGS

Firstly, I have to mention, so that when I read back one day, it’ll be like a memory for me. This is the first cinema movie my husband and I have been out and seen since having a baby, and since the pandemic started. The wait was so worth it. In actual fact, I would have thought any movie was fantastic, just for the fact that we were out at

One Episode In… Squid Game

I’m one episode in of Squid Game, and what the fuck did I just watch?! This shit excites my life. I guess you could say I’m just as fucked in the head as the dude in charge of this thing. Perhaps the creator of the story, himself. Sorry, a lot of swearing this time round; swears out of excitement and delightfulness. It’s legit a Saw and Hunger Games infusion. This

One Episode In… Loki

I’m one episode in Loki and boy, I’m frikken excited about where this is going to go. Okay, so little spoiler, I guess, but we lot know where this series leads to, already. We know this opens up to the next Doctor Strange movie, Multiverse of Madness. So, how, what, when, why, and very importantly, who? Brain was already ticking looking out for every little Easter egg that may give

FILM REVIEW:: FAST & FURIOUS 9

I hated this movie before I even started watching it. They added John Cena to this ridiculous franchise, like the unrealistic action and stunts, and repetitive use of ‘family’ isn’t enough. These films consist of me repeatedly saying ‘sure’ sarcastically, out of disbelief of anything and everything that is happening. The only excellent thing about these movies, is the hilarious banter between Roman (Tyrese Gibson) and Tej (Chris ‘Ludacris’ Bridges).

FILM REVIEW:: FREE GUY

What an incredible experience this was. It was such a seriously awesome, cool concept, that was an absolute pleasure to witness. I just want to vomit all the affirmative words out of my mouth, while I smile and bash the keys of my keyboard. Though it was tense at times, Free Guy is a light as a feather, action comedy we all need right now. What I assume is based
